E6 Epilogue: Have you thought about evolving?

It had been a day full of work, but it had been worth it. Chloe, Myra and Opal had been planting seeds and saplings with Team Trample and other teams through the whole day, and now they had finally returned to the village. Chloe felt really proud of how much they had accomplished, even though there had been some trouble in the beginning.

“Well, even though none of us really have the right body shape to do this sort of work, I have to admit that we got quite a lot of done in the end”, Opal said.

“Heh, you’re right”, Myra agreed, “But I have to admit that it would’ve been a lot easier if I had hands to use. That kinda made me think that maybe evolving wouldn’t be such a bad idea.”

“Again with the evolving”, Opal muttered. “It sounds fascinating, though. Since I’ve never seen a Pokemon evolve before.”

“Huh? You seriously haven’t seen anyone evolve?” Myra asked incredulously. “Didn’t anyone from your family ever do it?”

“Not really. I’ve lived most of my life in a community of Corsolas, and they didn’t even ever talk about such a thing. Maybe we just can’t evolve.” Opal looked down, and Chloe could see that Opal thought the situation was quite unfair for her if that was the case.

“You could ask Master Foo about it! He seems to know everything about evolving”, Chloe suggested.

Myra nodded to Chloe’s suggestion. “Hey, yeah! Why don’t we all go to see him? I mean, we’ve got two evolution scrolls already, so at least two of us could train there!” Then she looked cheerfully straight at Chloe. “What about you, Chloe? Have you thought about evolving sometime?”

Chloe didn’t really know what to say. She had always assumed that she would evolve some day, but it had always seemed something that was far away in the future. But they had already been through some quite tough battles, and there was also a lot of evolved Pokemon who were younger than her in the village. “I… I don’t know”, she admitted, “But... The planting did remind me again how hard it is for us to carry things, or even hold them… I wish I would at least learn Vine Whip. Most Pokemon from my family know it, and they all say it makes their life a lot easier. For some reason I’ve just never been able to learn it…”

Myra looked determined. “Hey, I heard Pokemon learn all kinds of new moves when they evolve, so that could help you too! But I think Master Foo can also teach moves only, if… I mean, I don’t want to pressure you or anything…”

Chloe grinned. Well, maybe she could give it a try. She had promised her mother to keep herself safe, after all. If anything like that Sorbet disaster should fall on Tao again, she could be a lot more help if she was evolved. She nodded to Myra. “It’s fine! We should at least go to take a look.”

“Alright!” Myra exclaimed excitedly as she turned to the direction where Master Foo’s dojo was. “I can't wait to kick some villain butt when I'm evolved!"
