Art trade for :iconthemonopolyguy: He drew me a cute tree sparrow in return. ^^ The only bug pokemon I've drawn before this is Butterfree, so it was pretty hard to draw ol those bug-like parts. Plus it took me forever to sketch a pose that I liked. Scyther probably doesn't have a neck like that and the scythes are maybe little too small, but othervise I think this came to look pretty good.

Done with colored pencils. (I got some new ones for Christmas~)

The neck actually looks about right. It's just that most pictures of Scyther show them looking slightly downward so you don't see the neck. Great job on this! :+fav:

I really enjoy this piece - it touches on a sort of whimsical side of scyther a lot of art doesn't approach, without really sacrificing anything in the character design. Ver well thought-out pose, and the lighter colours were the right choice, I think - they really underscore everything that's good about it.

I can't really think of much crit for this right now... I do think it would make an excellent sticker, though.
